Susanne YP Choi (D.Phil., Nuffield College, University of Oxford), is Professor of Sociology and Co-director of the Gender Research Centre at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University in 2013. Her research interests include gender, family, health, migration, and transitional justice. She has written extensively on gender and family issues such as spousal violence, violence against female sex workers, domestic division of labour, cross-border marriages, and rural-to-urban migrant workers in Chinese societies. Her works were published in world leading journals such as American Journal of Sociology, Journal of Marriage and Family, International Migration Review, The China Quarterly, Social Science and Medicine, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Political Psychology, Sociology of Health and Illness, and Human Relations.
