Dialogue in Silence introduces a new perspective on communication – relying no more on sounds and speech. With the absence of sounds and speech, participants are challenged to let go of their familiar thinking and behaviour patterns. Initially they may find this difficult, frustrating and even overwhelming. However, under the guidance of Deaf trainers and through a series of carefully designed activities, we show participants that silence can be exciting, fun and insightful. A key element in silence is to unleash the essence of communication which is more than speech and words. Most moments of truth are communicated through an expression, a body gesture and an emotion. In the silence, participants find creative ways to communicate, explore new ways to understand the whole message, and discover a range of expressions and emotions that they were not aware of before. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding and the ability to experience the world from a different perspective.

About Dialogue Experience

Dialogue Experience pioneers the creation of a new approach in experiential learning programs to bring out the essence of dialogue. We endeavour to engage People of Difference (PoDs) to create social impact with a sustainable business model nurturing a new perspective of social inclusion, diversity and equality. Not only are we a platform for communication and intimate exchange, we also provide a unique and inspiring experience for all walks of life. At Dialogue Experience, we identify and recognise ability rather that disability and promote empathy not sympathy.
